We’ve given everyone we know the green light to make a difference by supporting our “Drive for a New Bus.” Here’s an example of how one couple saw our green light – and ran with it.

On Sunday, October 7, 2007 Mr. and Mrs. Geoff and Rosemary Brammer ran the Chicago Marathon, dedicating their run to The British Home. Despite the heat, Rosemary finished in 4 hours, 34 minutes and 58 seconds. Geoff made it ten miles before stopping due to extreme weather. In all, they raised thousands of dollars for The British Home by asking others to sponsor their run. Those funds will go toward the purchase of a new bus for British Home residents – one that accommodate more wheelchairs and is fuel-efficient.

Now it’s your turn! It’s as simple as donating online with your credit card at www.thebritishhome.org/howyoucanhelp.html Or send a check, made payable to The British Home, to: Kevin Heraty – The British Home, 8700 West 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Please write “Bus Drive” on the memo line.

Or think of another fun way to raise money and make a difference in the lives of the special people served by The British Home.
